I am not procrastinating... I am just delegating tasks to my future self

Sometimes the brain just wants to shut off. It happens to everybody... For me it happens most often after an extreme deadline or after finalising a huge project. Then my brain is like “Dude no! Sit down... I need a vacation.” And then I am left with a slight incapability to accomplish anything, which means that smaller tasks start to accumulate, and the list starts to get long again.

This is what most people see as procrastination. But one thing I have learned is that nobody comes by and tells you that you have to take a break – especially not as a freelancer and entrepreneur. So you have to take charge of that as well – making sure to give your head time to rest and do silly unproductive things at times. For some, this could be something as simple as going for a walk. Maybe reading a book. Playing a video game. For me – it comes in the shape of playing agar.io and binge-watching repetitive Vine compilations.

It is all up to you, you know… Whatever butters your eggroll. Just be sure to take a break at times – and don’t be afraid to “procrastinate” at times. It is actually quite healthy.
