Writing a good pitch

… is difficult! I recently had to write a short elevator pitch about a new service product, and it is in its essence a very basic thing, but yet I always managed to make it sound like a technological innovation.

A good sales pitch has to be:

1. Easily Understandable
2. Irrefutable
3. Succinct
4. Greed Inducing

A really good example of an elevator pitch for eBay is:

One person’s trash is another person’s treasure. Out online global garage sale brings togetherbuyers and sellers from around the world. Our proprietary trading platform ensures the highestlevel of trust exists to facilitate the greatest number of transactions. With e-bay, your trash canbe another’s treasure.
