Easter is an odd holiday for me. I grew up in Denmark with Easter being a time eating fish and drinking snaps, watching Hollywood movies of kids collecting easter eggs in the garden not understanding why we didn’t do that (Later I realised that Denmark is a freakishly cold country and only twisted minded people voluntarily goes out in April in Denmark to collect those beautified protein-gems) – Then I moved to Spain where Easter is something completely different. It is like the biggest most massive event every year, with large parades, orchestras, people in the streets till 2am..
Easter in Spain is probably one of the most beautiful things I have seen. There are so many emotions involved and watching 32 young men still dealing with achene, carrying this 3 tons statue up and down the streets for an entire day, is really amazing.
So despite Easter being so many different things, I do still enjoy it. Spend time with your family and enjoy some easter time together.
