Working during holidays

Currently it is Easter, and yesterday, today, and the entire weekend are pretty much considered holidays. Should it be expected that you should be working during these days? As entrepreneur, self employed and consultant, you have to accept the fact that holiday is not aa luxury for you. There are many business owners and clients that themselves are not working and doesn’t require you to be working during official holidays, but sometimes you don’t have a choice.

In my case, I have to reach a deadline for a magazine by Tuesday. Which means that all setup and layout has to be done these days, so that proof reading can be done and final changes can be made Monday to be ready by Tuesday.

This also means that my fellow colleagues, who as well are self employed, has to be active these days in order to do the translations, proof readings, images, interviews etc.

So even if you have to work today and in the weekend, just know that you aren’t alone ;)
