Sometimes the best solution is right in front of you

Today I had a brief meeting with my co-workers on a new project, and we had been struggling to find a suitable provider of a given product for some time. We had outlined the exact conditions for production and how to manufacture. How to use materials and do assembly the easiest way possible. The problem was that despite us knowing that the idea was pretty simple to do, a pretty straight forward solution, we just couldn’t seem to find a company that was capable of doing the production.

That was until we took a step back and broke down our product design to its core fundamentals. Suddenly we realised that the product itself actually consisted of two very ordinary products, which were common in production and by extending our in-house production line, we could build a much simpler list of product requirements.

My point is that sometimes, the most ingenious solution can be too difficult to solve until you realise its fundamental components and that it can be achieved through very simple and already existing solutions.

This gakker may seem a bit difficult to fully understand, but I will clarify much more in depth once we release the product itself. – Then I am sure it will make much more sense.
