I am in LOVE with “Historien om Danmark”

Historien om Danmark (The history of Denmark) is a series produced by DR in Denmark that takes us beyond the traditional History lessons and gives us an amazing view at the past. One thing is the amazing shots, the visuals, effects, story, Lars Mikkelsen’s phonetic voice and the goose bumps appearing every f**** single time just watching the intro – but I also experience the series being open minded and unbiased as they aren’t afraid to point out our flaws and mistakes made throughout the history.

History lessons back in school was for me 1000 hours of napping, but this series is providing an incredible view and understanding of exactly what the schools want to teach. I would recommend that the schools in Denmark take each episode of Historien om Danmark and break it into roughly 15-20 minutes videos that start out every history lesson. This will spark the interest to learn and investigate more amongst the young students.
